ADOPTION BY NAIL
- ALEX ROBSON -
BRITISH WAR CEMETERY BRUNSSUM
NAIL is proud to mention that we were able to adopt a grave in cooperation with the War Cemeter Brunssum.
We have been allocated the grave of Alex Robson.
He died 28th December 1944 helping the Americans clear mines left by the Germans.
Alex had 3 brothers: Jackie, Robert and Hughie.
Also 2 sisters: Marion And Pearl.
All siblings visited his grave.
Hughie was there a few times. (Hugh Robson is the father of Carol Gilmore, Alex's niece)
Alexander's Mum and Dad visited his grave after the war. Alex niece tells us he was an apprentice baker and signed up for service when he wasn't old enough.
He gave a false age to enlist.
